Now that festival season is over, and the weather is finally cooling down, we’re looking forward to the smaller, more intimate shows. If you’re in San Diego, here are just a few artists you won’t want to miss for the Fall season:
Mura Masa at The Music Box in Downtown SD (19 October 2016)
Picture credit goes to Diplo and Friends: Mura Masa
Mura Masa has been on the DL lately, but with all his releases in 2016, there is no doubt the 20 y/o “beat slayer, heart breaker, producer, singer, writer, & lover” has been on a steep rise due to his talent. His latest EP “Someday Somewhere” was released a little more than a year ago, but he hasn’t stopped there. New releases such as “What If I Go?” and his latest release featuring A$AP Rocky “Lovesick” (Listen above) are tunes that you’ll also want to listen to.
Since he likes to disappear right before his sets (*ahem* HARD Summer 2016), this will be one of his rare sightings. Mura Masa will be playing in Little Italy at the Music Box on 19 October 2016. Tickets could be purchased HERE. This is a show you won’t want to miss.

Soulection at The Observatory North Park (29 October 2016)
If you haven’t heard of Soulection already, then I don’t know what you’ve been listening to. Since 2011, Soulection has been a movement through music that was founded in LA. Best described as “The Sounds of Tomorrow,” the crew creates musical gems that will be leaving you with vibes so smooth, your head won’t be able to stop nodding.
As of now, we don’t know who from Soulection is performing, but NSD is pretty sure the line up won’t disappoint. You could catch the Soulection crew on 29 October 2016 at The Observatory in North Park!

You could listen to their latest radio show #278 (Live from London, UK) hosted by Joe Kay.

StarRo at The Hideout (10 November 2016)
Speaking of The Sounds of Tomorrow, Soulection’s very own StarRo, will be playing his own show at The Hideout! NSD was very stoked when he released his new single with Masego titled “YAMS”. StarRo’s sound infusing beats with jazz, soul, R&B, and emotion is going to call for a show with vibrations of intimacy all around. Catch StarRo at The Hideout on 10 November 2016! Tickets HERE.

Porter Robinson and Madeon at The Valley View Casino Center (29 November 2016)
With their new single “Shelter,” this extraordinary collaboration brought in much anticipation to their Shelter Fall Tour. Luckily, this tour lands in San Diego on 29 November 2016! With these two incredible artists playing back-to-back, NSD cannot fathom how epic this show will be. Playing at the Valley View Casino Center, these two also knew they would need a HUGE venue for the crowd they were going to bring.

Carmack at The Observatory North Park (10 December 2016)
We’re not going to lie, The Observatory in North Park is bringing in some talent into their venue. Aaron Carmack is nothing short of talent. As a pioneer of many of the new sounds you hear today, Carmack has evolved his music in many ways, only making it sound better each time.
Carmack is one of the artists that will always bring an unpredictable show; always changing up his sets to keep you on your toes. We’re going to be pretty stoked to see what fire he’ll bring next. Catch him at The Observatory North Park on 10 December 2016! Tickets could be purchased HERE.
If you haven’t been on Carmack’s Soundcloud lately, he released fifty (50) of his greatest tracks FREE for download. Listen below:
Ekali at Bang Bang (15 December 2016)
Ekali, no doubt, has been tearing up 2016. With so many shows played and so much new music released, NSD wonders how he even has the time and energy. Tracks from this year include his remixes of Flume’s “Smoke and Retribution,” Flux Pavillion’s “I Can’t Stop,” Jack U’s “Mind ft. Kai,” and Ta-ku and Wafia’s “Meet in the Middle.” If you want a glimpse of what this man could do live, it’s recommended you listen to his #Smirnoff House set at HARD Summer 2016. Listen Below:
His grind, however, has paid off and now he is touring (yet again) for his Fall North American Tour. He will hit San Diego on 15 December 2016 at Bang Bang in the heart of Downtown SD; his second to last show before his final show in LA! Tickets sold HERE.
